1 beef round steak, cut 1/2 inch thick
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. paprika
1 c. hot water
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
3 T shortening
1 beef bouillon cube
2 medium tomatoes, peeled, cut and drained
1/2 c. chopped dill pickles
flour for gravy if necessary

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and other dry ingredients. Pound seasoned flour into steak. Cut meat into 5 or 6 serving pieces. Brown in fat. Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water and add to meat. Add onions, cover tightly. Cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. (May be cooked in a crockpot overnight) Add tomato wedges (canned tomatoes may be used) and dill pickles; cook until heated through.
