Pie Filling
5 T cornstarch
1 c sugar
1 c water
3 eggs, separated
5 T lemon juice
5 T margarine

Meringue
3 egg whites
6 T sugar
1/4 tsp cream of tartar

Directions:
Directions:
Cook cornstarch, sugar, and water until thick. Stir small amount into egg yolks, then stir back into pan. Add lemon juice. Stir over heat until smooth. Add margarine and stir until melted. Set aside and allow to cool. When cool, pour into baked pie shell.

Beat meringue ingredients until stiff peaks form. Pour over pie filling and shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 18 minutes.
