2 bottles white Karo syrup
3/4 c brown sugar
small amount of cornstarch
1/2 stick butter
1/2 stick margarine
squeezed juice from 1 fresh lemon half
cinnamon to taste
3/4 c water

Directions:
Directions:
Cook in double boiler approx. 1 hour over medium heat. Sauce should be sort of thick. If not, mix up and add a little cornstarch and water and let it cook a little longer. Place sweet potatoes (canned or fresh cooked) in buttered oblong dish. Pour sauce over potatoes and bake at 375 degrees until sauce has cooked well into potatoes.
