Do day or more ahead:
2 Cups apple cider (I like unfiltered)
2 Cups sugar
1/4 Cup water
1 Cinnamon stick
2 bags of cranberries, washed and picked over

Directions:
Directions:
Put all ingredients into a pan over medium heat except for cranberries and stir until the sugar melts. Add the cranberries, bring to a boil and cook for about 10 minutes - until most of the berries pop.
Let cool and remove cinnamon stick.

This is the recipe I have always used.
The family used the recipe on the cranberry bag which is good, too.
