1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. whole wheat flour
1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
guava, strawberry or other jam

Directions:
Directions:
Mix margarine and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients and mix well. Knead mixture. Cover and refrigerates for 1 hour.

Divide dough into 2 pieces and roll each piece 9 inch wide x 15 inch long. Spread jam into center. Fold over sides to make a 3 inch by 15 inch piece. Slice into 1 1/4 inch cookies. Bake 20 minutes at 375°.
