2 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 egg yolk (save the white)
1 tsp. salt
1 c. softened butter

Filling:
1 c. crushed corn flakes
8 c. apples (8-10 apples) peeled, cored, and sliced
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 saved egg white
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 T. nutmeg

Glaze:
1 c. powdered sugar
1 to 2 T. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º.
Crust:
Add enough milk to egg yoke to measure 2/3 c. and set aside. In medium bowl combine flour and salt. Using a fork, cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in milk mixture until dough forms a ball. Divide dough in half. On lightly floured surface, roll out 1/2 of the dough into a rectangle. Place rolled dough onto a 15x10x1" jelly roll pan.

Filling:
Sprinkle cereal over the dough, layer apples over cereal. In small bowl combine sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Sprinkle over apples. Roll out remaining dough and place over apples. In small bowl beat egg white until foamy, brush over crust. Mix together 2 T. sugar and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and sprinkle over crust. Bake 45 to 60 min., or until brown. Stir together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over the warm bars. Cut and serve.
