4 oz. butter
4 oz. sugar, creamed together
1 T. golden syrup, add and beat
1 egg, add and beat
1 ½ c. of flour sifted with
1 tsp. baking powder and
2 tsp. cinnamon and mixed spice added last
Raspberry jam

Directions:
Directions:
Press half the mixture into a sponge roll tin.
Spread with raspberry jam and cover with the remainder of the mixture. This is a very soft mix. I roll the top layer and unroll it over the top. Cook at about 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
Sprinkle with icing sugar, or ice with pink water icing.
