1 c butter
1 c sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
3 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, add sugar then eggs, one at a time mixing well after each. Add vanilla then dry ingredients. Refrigerate for at least one hour until dough is very firm. Roll dough out on a lightly floured cutting board. Cut out with cookie cutters and bake at 400 degrees till lightly brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Repeat until all the dough is used up. Frost and Dedorate cookies after cooled.
