1 cup brown sugar
cup butter
4 eggs, well beaten
1 Tbsp. milk
3 tsps. baking soda
3 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 cup candied pineapple, chopped
1 tsp. cloves
1 cup candied cherries, chopped
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cups white raisins
cup water
2 cups pecan pieces

Preheat over to 250. Cream together the brown sugar, butter, eggs, and milk. Sift baking soda, 2 cups flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves together. Combine dry ingredients with creamy mixture. Add cup water. Coat fruit with the remaining cup of flour. Stir coated fruit and pecan pieces into dough. Drop by spoonful on greased cookie sheet. Cook slowly, approximately 12 to 15 minutes. Careful not to let them burn. This is a good fruit cookie for those who do not like fruit cake!
