1/2 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. molasses
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. hot tea
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c.flour

Directions:
Directions:
1. make tea and added baking soda

2. mix all dry and wet ingredients separately adding shortening at the end.

3. mix all ingredients together with mixer at high speed.

4. Pour into greased and floured pan

bake 40 minutes at 350º

Cake is ready when toothpick comes out clean
