4 cups of sugar
4 cups of vinegar - white
1/2 cup pickle salt
1 1/2 teaspoon of tumeric, mustard seeds, and celery seeds.
3 onions

Directions:
Directions:
Put all the ingredients together in a pan except for the onions. Cook on low until clear - Cool. Do not boil.
Put a little onion into each jar. Fill the canning jar with sliced pickles...then cover the pickles with the cold syrup.
Keep in refrigerator.
Ready to eat in 4 or 5 days.
