1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 bananas mashed
1/2 c. nutmeats (if desired)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. sour milk
3 c. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add beaten eggs and mashed bananas. Add baking soda to sour milk and pour into mixture. Mix in sifted flour, salt, and vanilla. Bake in greased and floured loaf pans for 1 hour at 350º.

To make sour milk add 4-5 tsp. vinegar to 2/3 c. milk until milk curdles.
