¼ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
1 egg
¼ cup orange juice
2 teaspoons baking powder
3 cups flour
Grated rind of one orange

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add juice and the grated rind of one orange. Add well-beaten egg and gradually the flour to which the baking powder has been added. Place dough on a flour board and roll thin. Cut with cookie cutter and bake in oven at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly brown.
Yield: 2 to 3 dozen.
