1/2 cup margarine 2 eggs
1-1/2 cups brown sugar (slightly packed)
1/2 cup evaporated milk 2 cups sifted flour
2 tsps vinegar 1 tsp cinnamon
2-1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp ground cloves 1/2 tsp salt
1-1/3 cup chopped nuts
1 lb. mixed candied fruit

Directions:

Heat oven to 320 degrees. Cream margarine, adding sugar gradually and beat until creamy. Beat eggs lightly, addl to mixture. Mix and sift the dry ingredients,
using about half of mixture to dredge fruit and nuts.

In a small bowl stir together evaporated milk and vinegar. Add remaining sifted ingredients alternately with the milk and vinegar mixture. Stir in flour-dredged fruit and nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls on to a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 15-20 minutes.
