2 c raisins with 2 c water
1/2 c sugar 2 tbls flour
1/2 c nuts 2+ grated lemon peel
3 tbls lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 425º. Heat raisins in water to boiling. Cook 5 minutes. Stir together sugar and flour and stir into raisin mix. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Remove from heat and stir in nuts, lemon peel and juice.
Place in pie crust. Cover edge of crust to prevent getting too brown. Remove the cover in last 15 minutes of baking time.

Bake 30-40 minutes.

When we gathered our recipes for this cookbook, somehow I ended up submitting this one. This is Dad's favorite whenever Mom makes it. This recipe actually came from Mom but I saved it so I will always have it.
