2 c. sifted flour
1 T. baking powder
1 t. salt
1/4 c. shortening
2/3 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. Combine and sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut shortening into flour until like cornmeal. Add milk; mix with fork until blended and mixture forms a ball of dough. If loose flour remains, add 2 T. milk and mix. Knead dough lightly 10 times on floured pastry cloth or board. Roll dough to 1/2-3/4-inch thickness; cut with floured cutter. Place biscuits on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
