1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar

1 egg
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 1/2 c. self-rising flour

1 egg white
lots of pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:

Cream butter. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add 1 egg, 1 egg yolk and vanilla, beating well. Combine flour and creamed mixture, mixing well. Chill 1-2 hours.


Arrange pecan halves in groups of 5 on cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Shape dough into 1" balls and dip bottom edge into egg white. Press gently onto pecans.

Bake at 350º for 10-12 minutes. Cool. Spread with Chocolate Frosting (recipe in this cookbook).
