First Layer:
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp salt

Second layer:
2 eggs, well beaten
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 6-oz pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/4 c. flaked coconut
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbs. flour

ORANGE FROSTING:
3 Tbs. butter
1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp. grated orange rind
2 Tbs. orange juice

FIRST LAYER:
Cram butter. Add flour and salt; mix until thoroughly blended. Turn into waxed paper-lined 8" square pan; spread evenly over the bottom and press down with spatula. Bake at 375º for 15 minutes.

SECOND LAYER:
Blend eggs and sugar. Stir in 3/4 c. of the chocolate morsels, coconut and vanilla. Add salt and flour; mix well. Spread evenly over first layer. Bake in 375º oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven; cool and remove from pan. Frost with Orange Frosting. Melt remaining 1/4 c. chocolate morsels over hot, not boiling water. Remove from heat. Dip wooden pick into melted chocolate and draw lines 1/4 inch apart on top of orange frosting. Cross chocolate lines with wooden pick to make decorative pattern. Cut into 2 x 1: bars.

Cram butter; gradually add sugar and blend well. Stir in orange rind and juice.
