"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 sticks margarine (I like Fleischmann's)

2 c. sugar
4 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
pinch of salt

1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
4 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts

1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
2 c. coconut

FROSTING:
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 lb. confectioners' sugar
1/4 c. milk (more, if needed)
4 Tbsp. margarine, melted
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:

Melt margarine in a medium saucepan. Add sugar, cocoa, flour, salt, eggs and nuts. Mix well with a spoon. Pour into a broiler pan that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake 15-20 minutes in a 300º preheated oven (just until set). Do not over bake.

Combine sweetened condensed milk and coconut. Spread over hot brownies. Return to oven and bake 10-15 minutes or until light brown.

FROSTING: Beat cocoa, powdered sugar, margarine and vanilla until smooth. Spread on hot brownies. Allow to cool before cutting. Refrigerate until time to serve.

The lady who gave me the recipe said Save-A-Lot brand of sweetened condensed milk works best and that is what I have always used.
