Notes: Sometimes we have fresh corn on the cob with the beans & the corn bread for an entire meal. Grandma Crandall always had this meal in the summer. It was my favorite. Grandpa Harley Crandall sometimes made the Fried Green Tomatoes to go along with it. They were great too. Grandpa always planted the best tomatoes in town. I couldn't wait till the first tomato of the year so he would fry up some of the green tomatoes.
