8 slices stale French bread, cut into 1" inch rounds
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
Pinch salt
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together in a bowl, eggs,milk, sugar, salt and vanilla extract.
Heat skillet and tbsp. vegetable oil and tbsp. butter until melted on a medium heat. Saturate bread in egg mixture very well on both sides and then fry until golden brown. Serve with cinnamon sugar sprinkled on top and maple syrup if desired.
