1 cup raw cranberries, halved
1 cup walnuts, chopped
1 egg
1 cup sugar
juice of one orange
2 T. margarine
These should be mixed together and put in a 3/4 cup. Add enough boiling water to fill cup.
2 cups flour
1 t. salt
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. soda

Beat egg and gradually mix in sugar. Let set while combining the orange, shortening and boiling water. Add to first mixture and then add flour mixture, beat and fold in fruit and nuts.

Pour into one greased standard-sized bread pan.

Bake one hour at 325.
