4 1/2 C. sugar
1 can evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 sticks butter
12 oz. pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1) Mix together the milk and sugar in a large Dutch oven until blended.
2) Heat, stirring constantly, until mixture starts to boil. Let it boil up to the sugar level, then turn down and continue stirring (must stay bubbly) for 13 min. Test in cold water to make a ball - heat up to 15 min IF necessary.
3) Take off heat and add in chips and vanilla. Mix until blended. Then add butter and mix well.
4) Pour into a greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Let cool completely and then cut into squares
