2 lb. ground beef
1 (29 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (29 oz.) can kidney beans with liquid
1 (29 oz.) can pinto beans with liquid
1 c. diced onion
½ c. diced green chilies
¼ c. diced celery
3 medium tomatoes, chopped
2 tsp. cumin
3 T. chili powder
1 ½ t. black pepper
2 tsp. salt
2 c. water

Brown beef, drain, crumble. In a large pot, combine beef and everything, bring to a simmer over low heat, cook, stirring every 15 min. for 2 – 3 hours.

For spicier: add ½ tsp. more black pepper

For even spicier: add 1 tsp. black pepper and 1 T. cayenne powder or 5 – 6 Jalapeños
