2 c shortening
2 c sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
4 tsp cream of tartar
5 1/4 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Mix in eggs. Add soda, salt, vanilla & cream of tartar. Then mix in flour. Refrigerate overnight. Roll out and cut into shapes. Bake about 10 min at 350º.
You can also shape into logs before you put them into the refrigerator and then slice before you bake them.
