1 c. baking mix
1 c. cheddar cheese, grated
2 T. shortening
1/8 t. salt
1/8 t. cayenne pepper
1 egg yolk
2 t. water

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400º. Blend baking mix, cheese, shortening, salt and cayenne pepper. Mix with fork to consistency of coarse crumbs. Add egg yolk and water to form stiff dough. Knead; roll to 1/4-inch thickness on surface sprinkled with baking mix. Cut into strips. Place on ungreased baking sheet. bake 10-12 minutes.
