1 8-oz. pkg. Crescent dinner rolls
1 16-oz. pkg. hot Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage
1 onion, chopped
1/2 lb. (8 oz.) sharp cheddar cheese, grated

Directions:
Directions:
On a cookie sheet, press 1/2 crescent roll dough to make a rectangle. Lightly brown sausage and onion together and drain well on paper towels. Spread sausage and onion mixture over dough. Top with grated cheese. Cover with remaining crescent roll dough, stretching it to cover ingredients and to seal. Roll up and slice as you would cinnamon rolls. Bake in a 375º oven for 20 minutes. If you prefer, you can bake it as a rectangle and then cut into squares. Good for hot hors d'oeuvres or for breakfast, brunch, or supper main dish.
