1 c. flour, all purpose
2. c. grated sharp cheese
1 stick margarine
1/2 tsp. baking powder
salt, pepper, cayenne to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together all ingredients. Put through cookie press or baggie with tip cut off and squeeze out narrow straws. Or, chill dough and roll into small rolls and slice thin rounds. Bake at 350º on ungreased cookie sheet until slightly browned.

"Mama Kip" was Grandmother's mother. She and her cook, Lucy, were famous for their culinary skills! Even today, you cannot have a wedding or baby shower or social gathering in the South without Cheese Straws! And these are the best!
