For the Meatballs:

2 1/2 - 3 lbs. ground beef (ground chuck) or ground turkey (or a combination of the two)
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
20 turns of ground pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 1/2 tbsp. dried parsley
3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
5 tbsp. Parmesan cheese

For the Gravy:

3 cans tomato puree
1 can crushed tomatoes
1/2 of one of the above cans of water
1 tsp. salt
20 turns of ground pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
3 tbsp. dried onion flakes
3 tbsp. dried parsley
3 tbsp. Italian seasoning

For the Meatballs:

Blend all meatball ingredients in a bowl with your hands. Shape into meatballs and place on greased broiler pan or rack with cookie sheet below. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Do not turn during baking.

For the Gravy:

Put the cooked meatballs in a large pot. Add all the gravy ingredients. Simmer for 2 hours.
