3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar

Mix together in a separate bowl:
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar with a wooden spoon. Beat in egg and vanilla. In a small bowl stir together flour, salt, baking soda, and cream of tartar. Stir into butter mixture with wooden spoon. Shape dough into inch balls and roll in cinnamon and sugar mix. Place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.

Bake 8-10 minutes at 375º
