1/2 c bacon chopped
2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. sliced onion
1 c. sliced celery
1 c. sliced potato
1 c. sliced carrots
1 c. green beans
1 17 oz can of corn drained
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 bay leaf
2 c. evaporate milk or light cream
2 T flour
1/4 c. water
1 jar pimentos (undrained)

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon; drain. Add boiling water and fat, onion, celery, carrots, beans, corn, spices. Stir in milk. Blend flour and water until smooth and stir into soup. Add pimento and return to a boiling simmer for 5 minutes. Makes 2 qts.
