1 1/2 c. boiling water add to 1 c. oatmeal (let stand 20 min)
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon

Boil 1 c. brown sugar
1/4 lb margerine
1/2 c. evaporated milk
add 3/4 c. coconut and 3/4 c. nuts and vanilla

Preheat oven to 350. Cream sugars and shortening and add in oatmeal mixture. Add in eggs and remaining ingredients. Bake for 35 minutes.
