1 10 oz. loaf Italian bread cut into 1" slices
8 large eggs
3 cups milk
4 tsp. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. butter, cut into small pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Grease 13” x 9” x 2” pan. Arrange pieces of bread in a single layer. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except the butter. Pour the mixture over the bread and cover. Refrigerate overnight. Uncover, dot with butter, and bake at 350° for 45 – 50 minutes until “puffy”. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
