1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 beaten egg yolks
24 graham crackers, crushed (1 1/2 c.)
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3 stiff beaten egg whites

Brown Sugar Frosting:
1 1/2. brown sugar 3/4 c. shortening
1/4 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. vanilla
3/8 c. milk (1/4 c. + 2 Tbsp..)

Mix ingredients together, folding egg whites in at the last. Bake in a greased and floured pan (about 10 X 6 inches) at 350 for 25 min.
Frosting: Bring frosting ingredients to a rolling boil, stirring constantly and then boil 1 min.. Add vanilla. Put pan in cold water and stir frosting to desired consistency.
