4 eggs
1-1/4 c.southern cane or dark Karo syrup
1-1/2 c. broken pecan meats
1 c. sugar
4 T butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Boil sugar and syrup together two or three minutes. Beat eggs, pour slowly into the hot syrup. Add butter, vanilla and pecans (broken rather coarsely). Turn into raw pie shell and bake in moderate oven about 45 minutes or until set.
