c chopped dates
c walnuts
2 Tbsp flour
c margarine
1 c brown sugar
2/3 c pumpkin
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
c flour
tsp baking powder
tsp cinnamon
tsp nutmeg
tsp ginger
tsp vanilla

Melt butter over low heat. Blend in sugar. Remove from heat. Stir in pumpkin and vanilla. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add sifted dry ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Add dates and nuts which have been dredged with 2 tsp flour. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees in 9-inch pan. Serve warm with Cool Whip or whipped cream.
