2 C sugar
1/4 C corn syrup
1/2 C milk
1/2 C shortening
1 square chocolate (=3 T cocoa pwd+1 T oil)
1/2 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and stir over low heat until shortening and chocolate melt. Bring to full boil stirring constantly for 1 minute. Remove from heat and beat until cooled to spreading consistency. Stir in 1 tsp vanilla. Frost cake right away.

Grandma Mortensen's recipe. This makes a great fudge topping for ice cream or pouring over warm cake. Make it up through the boiling of ingredients then add the vanilla and serve hot.
