3 cups flour
1 1/2 tasp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp nutmeg
3 cups sugar
2 cups mashed bananas
1 cup vegetable oil
2/3 cup water
4 eggs
1 cup chopped nuts (we use pecans)
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift all above dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the center and add mashed bananas (can also use pumpkin), vegetable oil, water, eggs, nuts, and vanilla.

Mix well on medium speed until well blended. Pour into well greased loaf pans. Fill only 1/2 full. Bake 350º for 1 hour. Let cool for 15 minutes, wrap in foil and then allow to cool completely, refrigerate. This is good for dessert or for breakfast toasted with butter or cream cheese.
