"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Cake:
1 box yellow cake mix
3/4 c. oil
4 eggs
1 - 11 oz. can of mandarin oranges, including juice

Frosting:
1 lg container Cool Whip
1 13 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
1 box dry vanilla instant pudding mix

Directions:
Bake cake at 350 - follow box directions for time as to preferred baking apparatus. I like to use 3 eight inch rounds which take about 20 minutes. Mix frosting while cake is baking.

After cake cools, frost and refrigerate! This is one of my very favorite desserts.

PS - The frosting also makes a great fruit dip.
