2 c graham cracker crumbs
1 stick butter, melted slightly
2 T sugar
1 can cherry pie filling
1 (8oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
¾ c powdered sugar
1 small container Cool Whip, thawed

Directions:
Directions:
Mix crumbs, butter, and 2 T sugar. Put half of mixture in a glass bowl or pan and press. Add cherry pie filling. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth; add powdered sugar and beat until fluffy. Fold in cool whip; blend well. Pour cream cheese mixture on top of cherries. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Refrigerate.

Variations: use lite cream cheese or cool whip & less butter
You can also use 1 envelope Dream Whip, ½ t vanilla, ½ c sugar, ½ c milk instead of Cool Whip. Prepare the Dream Whip according to the directions on the package. We use a round bowl (about 2 qt) but you can also double the recipe and put it in a lasagna pan. Mmmm!
