1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c margarine 1 egg 1/2 tsp anise oil 2 T white karo syrup 2 t baking soda 1 t cinnamon 1 t ground cloves 1 t ground ginger 3 1/2 c sifted flour
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, syrup, and anise oil. Sift dry ingredients and add to wet mix. Roll dough into a 1/2" rope and cut into pieces. Place cookies on to greased baking sheet. Bake at 350º for 7 min.
