2 C flour
1 cube butter
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp cream of tarter
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2/3 c buttermilk
if doubled, use 1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add buttermilk and egg (if doubled). Roll out 1/2" thick. One batch makes about 9 biscuits. Put on baking sheet touching each other. Bake @ 350º for 20-25 minutes. If you want a really tasty but fattening version, melt butter and dip each biscuit in melted butter before putting them on the baking sheet.
