2 c. (12 oz) semisweet chocolate morsels
1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
3 tbsp. each dark corn syrup and water
2 c. chopped toasted almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Spread 1 1/2 cups of the chocolate morsels evenly over bottom of buttered 13 X 9 -inch pan. Set aside.
In 3-quart saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Mix in sugar, corn syrup and water. Sir constantly until mixture reaches 300 degrees on candy thermometer (or until a little of toffee mixture, dropped into cold water, becomes hard and brittle).
Remove from heat. Mix in 1 cup of the almonds. Immediately pour toffee mixture over chocolate in pan. Spread evenly.
Sprinkle remaining chocolate morsels and almonds over top. Cool and allow chocolate to harden.
Loosen candy from pan with sharp knife. Remove from pan. Break into pieces. Store in airtight container
