1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour, all purpose
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. milk
7 c. pecans, coarsely chopped
2 c. dates, chopped
2 c. cherries, red & green, cut
3/4 lb. raisins (regular, golden, or mixed)
6 slices pineapple, cut into small pieces

With mixer, cream butter, and brown sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Sift together flour, soda, and cinnamon. Mix fruit and nuts with flour. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Begin with flour and end with flour. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Cook at 350º for about 15 minutes.

A "must-have" at Christmas! This recipe is one of Mama Kip's. She was devoted to her family, and always set the best table! Together, she and Lucy (her cook) were quite a pair. We're so glad mother learned how to make these delicious, holiday cookies.
