8 oz. jellied cranberry sauce
1/2 c. dry sherry
1 1/2 c. chicken broth
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 star anise (whole)
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. prepared mustard
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 lb. boneless chicken breasts
Flour seasoned with salt and pepper
1/4 c. butter

Preheat oven to 350. Combine the cranberry sauce, sherry, chicken broth, spices, and sugar. Simmer for 10 min., then discard the star anise. Heat the butter in a skillet until it is foamy. Dredge the chicken breasts in the seasoned flour and saute in the butter for 1 min. on each side. Transfer the chicken to an ovenproof dish. Pour the cranberry mixture into the skillet and reduce by half over medium high heat. Pour the sauce over the chicken and bake for 30 min.
