1 stick butter
1 stick margarine
2 Tbs. fresh minced garlic
2 Tbs. chopped green onion
½ c. chopped parsley
1 Tbs. dry basil
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tsp. ground pepper
1 tsp. Fennel or anise seed

Directions:

Blend in food processor.
Freeze in small balls.
For our use in Mediterranean traditions, I melt this butter and drizzle it over Gnocchi or Shrimp or
New York steaks grilled then spread over the steaks before serving. This is great for a grilled steak or chicken. It is also used on French bread toasted! (Ruth Chris’ steakhouse uses this on one of their steaks)
