1 pkg. frozen PETITE baby butterbeans
3 Tbsp. canola oil
2 tsp. salt, or to taste

Pour butterbeans in saucepan. Rinse thoroughly with water. Then cover with water, add salt and oil, and bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and cook for approximately 20 minutes. Test for doneness by taking out a few butterbeans and taste for tenderness and salt.

This is such an easy vegetable to prepare and was always a favorite, especially of Maggie's! Just be sure to get the very tiny, petite, baby butterbeans. You can use fresh butterbeans, but they may take longer to cook than the frozen.
