1 c shortening
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 c flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp soda
1/4 tsp salt

Topping:
2 T. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs thoroughly. Add flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Form dough into balls about the size of walnuts. Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 400º.
