2 cups sugar
1 16 oz can pumpkin
1 cup oil
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon soda
2 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup flaked coconut
½ cup chopped pecans

Icing:
½ cup butter or margarine, softened
1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened
1 16 oz package powdered sugar
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup chopped pecans
½ cup flaked coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, pumpkin, oil and eggs. Beat 1 minute at medium speed of electric mixer. Combine next 5 ingredients. Add to pumpkin mixture. Beat 1 minute at medium speed of an electric mixer. Stir in coconut and pecans. Pour into three greased and floured 8 inch round cake pans or into an 9 x 13 pan. Cook in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes until done.

Icing:
Combine butter and cream cheese. Beat until light and fluffy. Add sugar and vanilla, mixing well. Stir in pecans and coconut. Spread on cooled cake.
