2 1/4 C. CAKE FLOUR
3 EGGS ROOM TEMP.
1 1/4 t. BAKING POWDER
1 1/4 T. BAKING SODA
1 1/4 T. SALT
2/3 C. BUTTERMILK ROOM TEMP.
1 1/4 C. MASHED BANANAS
2/3 C. FINELY CHOPPED BLACK WALNUTS

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES.
IN A LGE. BOWL CREAM SHORTENING AND SUGAR UNTIL FLUFFY; ADD EGGS, 1 AT A TIME, AND BEAT WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION.
SIFT FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, SODA, AND SALT TOGETHER AND ADD TO BUTTER MIXTURE, ALTERNATING WITH BUTTERMILK.
STIR IN BANANAS AND BLACK WALNUTS.
POUR INTO PAN AND BAKE 35-40 MIN. OR UNTIL TOP SPRINGS BACK WHEN TOUCHED LIGHTLY WITH FINGER.
ALLOW TO COOL AND FROST WITH FROSTING OF YOUR CHOICE,PENUCHE FROSTING IS EXCELLENT!
